At the back of the church is a box for supplies. Please remember when you are shopping just to buy an extra tin or packet of food. It will go towards feeding those who would otherwise be hungry.

Pastoral Care

Are you aware of someone within the church family who would appreciate a visit from ‘St Margarets Pastoral Care Team’?

This includes people in hospital, the house bound, the sick or those recently

bereaved.

If so please contact Juliet or Sue in the Church office so that a visit can be arranged.

Reflection on Pause in January.

Toward the end of January the MLT took all the thoughts/notices that people had put on the board at the back of church, as well as reflections received from

general feedback from church members, and went away to spend a Saturday together to pray and talk through what we felt God may be saying to us as a church.

Two very clear points emerged from the day.

That as a church we must be more outward looking, engaging with the

community around us, however alongside that there is an issue that often people feel unequipped and ineffective.

This leads to our second point which is that as individuals we need to be better

prepared. While we need to build on what we are already good at, we also need

to know and understand our Bibles better; we need to go deeper with God.

It reminds me of what Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 9

24 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. 25 Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.

To be effective we must be ready!

Our next step is to pray and to seek God’s guidance as to how to put this into practice over the coming year and beyond.

God Bless

Kevin

St Margaret's now has a  Facebook page, called 'St Mags

Wolston' if not already a friend then this is an invitation to be added as a friend.

Coventry Pilgrimage, 26th March-1st April, 2012: following the Cross of Nails

If you wish to walk any or all of the pilgrimage, please tell David Gadsby. We need to register numbers for the evenings and names if you wish to do the weekend trek. There will definitely be a group doing the walk on Thursday, March 29th, to travel from Ryton to Brinklow via Wolston.

We have been asked to provide prayer/refreshments/toilets as follows:

Thursday, March 29th, 6-7pm

Saturday March 31st, 11.15am-2.15pm

If you can help with either of these please contact  Juliet or Sue in the Church Office.

See posters at the back of church for general information about the Pilgrimage.

.

There is a service of Holy

Communion here at 6.30 pm this evening

We are now asking all those who are reading, praying, doing intergen or helping with communion to come up during the previous song and sit on the front row (or nearby) and step up in good time. This will help avoid embarrassing waits. Thanks.

Do you feel you would like to be involved in children's ministry? We are urgently in need of more help with our Sunday morning groups. Please pray to see if God is leading you into this vital ministry. Contact Jayne Flanagan - 76540778.
